    Default ulna growth plate injury

loki's ulnar growth plate at his wrist has closed. he is 6 mo. old. the surgeon wants to cut out the bone to give his radius a chance to grow straighter. has anyone had experience with this? is this the normal course of action? should i get a second opinion?

Growth plate injuries can be severe like Loki's. Without the surgery his leg will deform as he grows. At 6 months old that growth plate should still be open. The other side is open so he will grow lopsided. I personally would go to a surgeon with lots of orthopedic experience or a vet school to get it done. JMHO.
