No, you will likely have a litter of blacks. Unless you color coat tested, you're going to be in for a big shock. SO sad that you don't have a clue. NONE. So happy that you let your moronic friend tell you that it's important for her to have a litter (how old is she?), but didn't mention how important it is for her to have clearances (hips, elbows, heart, PRA, EIC, etc). Don't care if they are spoken for, how are you going to keep her pups from winding up in the the pound...are you going to take care of them down the line? Are you prepared for a c-section if something should go wrong? Why is your vet such a moron that he okay'd you to breed an untested bitch?

There are so many stupid things with regard to this post, I can't even see straight. Thanks for fucking up our beloved breed...yet again.

So dad is more than likely pure for chocolate, meaning you'll be having black and chocolate puppies. Color coat genetics of the breed is quite possibly the easiest aspect of breeding, if you're having problems with that, I fear for you in this whole process....not to mention coming to a PET board to ask this question. If the stud dog owner actually has a clue, I'd recommend going to them for advice.

wow. good for you...you could research my posts, and you couldn't research when or if your bitch is pregnant, what colors it could produce and what to do? Give me a fucking break. MORON. Yes. I have 1 byb dog. I would never make that mistake again. You my friend are just dumb, and will always remain that way. I pray for your dog and it's puppies.

It's interesting that Chloe's Dad has chosen not to respond at all to legitimate questions about the clearance of these dogs. If his bitch and that dog both are carriers of EIC (not affected) there is a high chance that there will be affected puppies. Any comment on this Chloe's Dad?

This comment just baffles me almost as much as Chloe's Dad's posts. Life would be pretty awesome if vets got to decide who was and was not bred, but I bet money a lot of breeders wouldn't be happy about it either

So did you go OFA or PennHIP for hips? Just get cerf'd or did you decide to optigen test?

EIC (exercised induced collapse) has to be checked genetically. Watch this video which explains it better than I could. YouTube - ‪U of M researchers discover gene causing collapse in dogs‬‏ Your vet would have to send the sample out. Your dog can be unaffected (no symptoms) and be a carrier - as can the male. Continuing to breed without testing will cause this disease to keep spreading, avoidably.

And unless you have had her hips/elbows xrayed and evaluated by Penn HIP or OFA, your vet's review of hips really does not count.

Why does this comment baffle you? He said his vet said everything was peachy keen. There are plenty of country bumpkin vets out there that don't care if a dog has proper clearances, or if it is a good representation of the breed. They just want money and if the client wants to breed, they usually don't object...which clearly is the case here.
