When I first got Rocky, he had a very sensitive stomach. Too much food = diarrhea. More than two variety of treats in a week = diarrhea. Food changes were long and still = diarrhea. Then he had cyclical diarrhea every three months for awhile.
He's been with me 3 years or so now.
But recently, knock on wood, the tide has changed. I can do a food change with a few days of half and half with not even a soft poop (which is good as I intend to rotate foods). I can give him a variety of different treats and we're all good. In fact, two days ago he ate my foster's food (one he has never had) and NO impact! As I am doing a food change that ment three different kibbles in one meal!
Can a dog's system just improve like that?
Time really is a miracle doctor sometimes - and I'm astounded at what we (all species) can outgrow too ...
while Sally is still on a very restricted diet she lives to add things to her diet she shouldn't and what she does add would have had her hospitalized when she first came here - so far she might puke or poop excessively (or have cow poop) but she hasn't crashed
enjoy the good times![]()

My mom always says, "The body wants to heal itself." I think time and good care can work wonders. It's a testament to the care you have provided him.![]()
