I looked for the one Laura has for her dogs as it has a plug at the bottom to empty (the "hard plastic" bends easy when you try to empty it.) They are discontinued!!!!!

I bought one of those hard plastic ones for Ellie one year. It became a giant yard toy for her. I am not kidding, she ran up and down the yard with that giant pool in her mouth, after she emptied it of course.

Needless to say, it got beat up beyond repair quite quickly. Ellie is not a water dog so maybe that is why!!!

What do you all think of the bone pool for dogs?

I'm still waiting for the page to load, so I can't offer an opinion on the link.

But when I got a wading pool for Toby and Chamois, I couldn't findone in the local Target, Home Depot, Wallmart, etc. Apparently, even though it was already over 90 degrees in Hoston, it wasn't time for the "summer" products to be out. I found a water trough at the local feed store, it has a drain hole in the bottom of one side, and is very tough, thick molded plastic. Completey chew proof, and Toby is a chewing champion. Too heavy to drag around the yard. Definitely a good purchase.

But if they had the choice of a lake vs. the small pool? No contest there.

    What plastic pool?
Toby and Chamois say: GO STEELERS!

How much was the water trough? the bone pool looks great but for $340? I would pay the $120 but that means I have to find 4 others to buy with me.

Check ToysRUS and garage sales. One of my puppy buyers got one like mine for $10 at a garage sale. Check ebay too. Sometimes you can find someone nearby that has one and you can go pick it up. It would cost a fortune to ship.

Mine is a Step2 pool. It's about 10 years old at least and the only pool that held up to Remy's digging.

Sadie has a little like $9 walmart pool that she loves. She was a little afraid of it for the first week or so, and she's still very careful getting in and out but I'm pretty sure its her favorite toy.
I actually just took a video of her playing in it this morning
