We have noticed that Denali is "smiling" or what seems to be smiling at us when we get home and let him out of his crate. He moves both sides of his mouth up and walks around for a while getting love doing this. Does any one know or seen this?

Is he pulling his lips back and showing teeth? If so, this is called a "submissive grin" and isn't actually "smiling" in the human sense. Our terrier mix used to do this when I was a kid.
Yes, it is a submissive grin. Angus does it too, when he is very excited to see us.It's not an every day thing. I love it when it happens. It is always accompanied by a full-body wag.
