Apollo ingested a TINY amount of clorox anywhere hard surface spray. Less then a fourth of a cup, less then an 1/8 of a cup. This is the spray that is safe for use around children and food and animals. It says not to ingest the stuff, but it is safe to spray directly on the cutting board, air dry, and then cut up chicken. I was gunna give him some hydrogen peroxide to make him vomit, but at this point the stuff is already in his system. Because its not a full bleach product and its safe for use around infants I am not as worried as if it were regular clorox. What should I do though? I'm kinda freaking out.

What does it say on the back?
Like, "if swallowed" etc?

I dunno, sam has the bottle. Let me call him.............
just called him. He says that there is nothing on the bottle that says, 'if ingested' there are also no warning labels on the bottle. This IS a very gentle, specialized sanitizing spray. No harsh fumes or anything.

Call your emergency vet. Better safe than sorry.

I think that legally (trying to remember WHMS training) if a substance is even remotely (or possibly) harmful a company is required to print instructions on the label ("if swallowed", "if product gets in eyes", etc.)Originally Posted by Apollopuppy

Okay, just got off the phone with the EVet. They said that that spray does not carry a warning level and contains no toxic fumes. Due to the amount that we suspect that Apollo ingested, they say he should be alright. Even though its probably already in his system they told us to give him a little hydrogen peroxide (to make him vomit). They said to make sure he drinks plenty of water and moniter him overnight. If in the morning he is showing ANY signs of being ill, bring him in and they will check him out. Luckily they said that of all the chemical substances for him to ingest, thats honestly the safest one.
THANK GOD I only use 'pet safe' cleaners in my home. So we'll be monitering apollo and I'll let you know how he does in the morning. I haven't a clue how he got this spray. its up on a shelf above the ferret cage, I guess one of the cats knocked it down, but it was waaayyy out of his reach. Ugh....i think I just aged 20 years!
