out of his create. I had already fallen asleep and Cody decided on his own to leave Tater out. I was OK with it because we had been thinking about it. So I get up this morning only two things were wrong. One he Peed three times on the floor. Not so bad wiped it up and mopped this morning. But the one thing that made me really mad and its really not Taters fault but Cody's. HE ATE MY GEORGE FOREMAN GRILL. Well the cord is what he ate. It was all over the kitchen just little pieces. We have watched him and we are positive he didn't eat any. Just chewed it up. So we need to go get another one soon because that is the only thing I cook on. But we may try it again tonight and see how he does. Wish us luck. Hope he doesn't find the toaster!!!! ;D

    Tater, not the george foreman...

Its a start. I have been leaving mambo out , well in our room and only have lost a shoe, sock, bra and dvd. But its been a month or so. My fault these items were on the floor and being a lab, he couldnt resist. But he know sleeps on his own bed next to me, well when Jerome isnt home he is in bed with me.

    Good luck tonight

I'd be mad about the George Foreman too...it's what I use the most to cook too! Brigetta sleeps out of her crate at night- she usually sleeps on my bed or hers. It's when I get in the shower in the morning that she gets into things! Good luck!

I hope the grill was unplugged! I would really be careful of any plugged in appliances in the kitchen. Given that he did that last night, I would say it is back to the kennel for him, he does not sound ready. How old is Tater? Why did he pee 3 times? That seems like a lot for one night.

LOL...Boomer's first night "free" and he swallowed an entire box full of Kleenex. We didn't know it and he was so sluggish the next day...figured it out when he puked up all the Kleenex (still folded and stacked, mind you). It was back to the pen for him. : Some of them just take a little longer than others. I think he was at least 2 1/2 before we could trust him alone at night.

I would say that Tater might need to enjoy his crate a little longer!

Thank God it wasnt plugged in

Emma was no problem when we let her sleep outside the crate. She never got into anything and just sleeps on the bottom of the bed.
We tried this with Aidan and he gets too hot. He jumps down and puts himself back inside his crate or on the bathroom tile floor. But this is also when he ate and pooped the 2 socks :

Sammi has been o.k at night since she was 7 months old. Like Brigitta if I'm I'm getting ready for work, in the shower, doing my hair etc. that's when she get's in trouble, so a long sit stay with a biscuit in the wait work's real well. Good luck with Tater, but if it were Sammi, she would be spending another night or several in the crate!!

    One tuckered pooch!

Something about power cords. Jake chewed a game boy, battery charger, and a brand new drill cord. He has never chewed up anything else. Oh, and a floor scrubber cord. I try not to give my two anything to eat or drink close to bed time...

Yeah I know Tater doesnt chew on anything but his toys. BUt all is well we didnt leave him out last night. I dont know why there was three pee spots. He got walk bofore bed. I have a feeling he wont bark when he has to go out he will just do it in the kitchen. So we didnt leave him out last night. It might be a couple of months before we try it again. We werent doing it to keep him out for now on. Just wanted to SEE what he would do. And besides him eating the cord he did ok. I can handel pee. I know I dont want him to pee in the kitchen. BUt that is the least of my worries. I just knew I would go down stairs and find my floor eaten and the cabinet door on the floor. ;D
