We have 70 yr old wood floors and the dog haven't made a dent.
I'm Jenn. Keeper of two labs in my home and one forever in my heart.
Throw the ball, damn it!
We have an old house too...built in 1912 (restoring it)....the old floors aren't touched by our three! However, we just put in pine in the Living Room (termite damage too extensive to save the original flooring in just that one room)...we've been back in the room one week today and there are already some scratches in the finish. We put five coats of poly for wood flooring down and waited the required 7-8 days before moving the furniture in but still, the scractches.Originally Posted by Momma to J and A
Actually, since our home is 94 years old, we don't mind the scratches too much. A brand new, perfect floor would look horribly out of place against the old heart pine in the dining room.....!
