    Default Thyroid problems?

I know Tucker's not full Lab, nor does he live with me; however, he was my first boy and I still love him dearly. I called my sister the other to see how things were at home, and she told me that they thought Tuck had had a stroke. He wasn't eating, wasn't drinking and wouldn't get off his bed. I yelled thru the phone to take him to the vet and call me back. She did the next day and said he had been diagnosed w/ a thyroid problem (great job, sis, for not telling me what kind- but hey). What makes a dog not eat, drink or move? What kind of thyroid problem? My mom has been telling me that she's "making preparations for him" as he is going on 15 this year.... I can't bring myself to admit he's that old... last time I saw him he was still so puppy-ish (at 11)

Here's a picture of him when he was 10... it's the last picture I have. It was also the last Christmas my family spent together... he looks so happy.
