Hello everyone! If you remember us, we're back. And if you don't, let me re-introduce myself. We were a little family from Spruce Grove in search of our forever Lab. Our hearts were set on a yellow male, however, it wasn't closed off to any other Lab. We we're many months into our research when I found this forum, and with the help of one of the members here I was directed to Labralayne Labradors out of Calgary, Alberta. Long story short, after a few weeks of emails we were off to Calgary for NYE and to meet Alayne (which was the last time I posted). For good reasoning.
We met with Alayne and instantly fell in love with the 2 dogs she had available. A yellow girl (Rook), and a black boy (Stark). She was offering them both on joint ownership. After MUCH thought, and a visit the next day with the pups and a few of her other amazing dogs, we decided to head back home and think about the joint ownership and the dogs. We knew, hands down, this is the breeder for us. She answered all of our questions, gave us tons of extra information, her dogs are beyond beautiful... it was just a great experience meeting and chatting with her on both days.
On our way back home, we found out my father in law had been in a sledding accident and he was off to the University hospital for surgery on his leg. He broke both his fibia and tibia, and now has a metal rod thru his bone and screws on both the top and bottom parts of his leg. AWFUL. So for the last month, we've been taking care of my newly injured father in law, and luckily my mother in law is almost doing everything on her own from her knee replacement she had on Oct 31!
Having said all of that, we had to pass on Rook and Stark, we are patiently awaiting Alayne's next yellow litter which is due in MAY!
Labralayne Labrador Retrievers (SUNNY AND MARSHALL)
We are beyond excited, and we knew that waiting was best for us!
Just wanted to touch base, had a few emails from a few members (thanks for thinking of us), and wanted to let you know whats going on!
Hi Brandy
Wow sounds like you guys have been busy. So sorry to hear about your father in law. Glad he's on the mend. Very cool that you are waiting for Sunny's litter. Sunny is Gracie's mommy and her daddy also came from Hunt Club Labradors as does Marshall. I know the waiting is hard but I can't believe how fast the time goes yesterday was Gracie's first birthday.
Hi again!Glad to see you back! I'll bet you are anxious! May seems so long away doesn't it....

Welcome back. We have friends in Spruce Grove. May will be here before you know it. I cannot believe how fast time passes. It seams like just a short time since we got Jack as a puppy and he will be 4 in March. That will be a great time to start a puppy.
