...that Belle was watching over us last night.

For the last night or two, I have been taking the pups outside at night through the front door, and out to the front yard, which is unfenced. All pups at the same time, no collars. They would only go about 15-20 yards away, and came when called.

Most of the time, they go out the side door, and directly into their covered outdoor run. Very protected and safe.

For "whatever" reason, I decided to start taking each pup out by itself, and on a flexi-lead last night. When I had Flint out, almost instantly, several coyotes started yipping just on the other side of my van!!!! Only 15 yards away!! Scared the shit out of me!

I like coyotes, just not quite that close when I have pups out. When I took Kodi and Hoss out several hours later, I think Kodi knew they were still there, or had been there, 'cause she went on immediate alert.
