Default Dod walking in icing condidtions - ice cleats?

So i guess like everyone else who lives in my area, i've been having a tough time walking my lab on the ice. Has anyone tried ice cleats?

I don't walk my dogs in slippery conditions for fear that one of them or I would slip and get hurt....How would I get them home.
Yes, I tried the ice cleats. Good, but don't last long: The cleats come out of the soft rubber.

I've had mine for 5-6 years now and have no problem with them. I don't know if they make them for dogs, lol. When I first got mine, I demonstrated them to my friend by doing jumping jacks on a solid sheet of ice. She was sold and asked me to pick her up a pair too.

SOLD! I'm getting some. If I can get Stabalicers in Canada I'll order some.

And yeah wouldn't it be nice if they made them for dogs. My pulled a comple "Bambi" the other day and I winced thinking about all the possible injuries.

I hit ice the other day and went right down on the ground. I landed on my poor hip again. I told my husband that some poor old person could come along and fall and really hurt themselves. My husband said, " I don't want to disalusion you but you are an old person" Who me......? LOL

I use them if it's really bad, but I also feel it's too dangerous for the dogs to be out there except for going potty. I'm not risking them getting injured, especially at their age!

I run in the winter and I use YakTraks or pull on cleats that are lighter than the picture in the OP. They both work great. We don't really walk the dogs on the streets in the winter that often, usually take them trail hiking so I can snow show instead. But those would work spendidly.

I don't walk mine when there is ice, just because 5 years ago I slipped on some icy snow and broke my ankle in 5 places.
After that, I figure they'll just have to wait. I would have been really upset if instead of me, it was one of them.
