for the 2011/2012 hunting season. 5-1/2" of rain over Tues/Weds not only flooded our wetlands and made the pastures around it non-passable, even for our 4WD Jeep. It has also created sheet water everywhere in the general area and scattered the ducks far and wide. Here are a couple pics taken through the dawg run of the pond and other areas around our home. The water level on New Year's day near the corn feeder (the black cylindrical object in pic 1) was 4-1/2 feet below the present level following the two rains we've had since then. We've gone from an extreme record setting drought in N TX to a total flood in less than 90 days.
Here is a slideshow of some of Rusty's hunts during December and January. The Boy has come a long way in just over a year of actual experience. He ended up with 192 of the 214 ducks that we harvested this season.

Wow Jim! I was wondering how all that rain was affecting your drought down there. I'm sorry your season is over.
These are a few of the only pics I have in this particular album of the home pond before the rains. They are early October images and I think you can get an impression of just how low the water level had dropped. It went down another foot from there before it started back up again.
