Default SILLY QUESTION ABOUT SHEDDING AND FUR OVERAGE

I know, fur and Lab are synonymous.....but, just wondering if I get one of those brushing/grooming mits, will it help remove excess fur that would otherwise end up in my house and car, or will it just stimulate her wonderful, wiggly, body to produce more fur?

    Thanks for any help!

It will help but never cure it.

Some people think that using zoom grooms too much can damage the coat.

Get a good vacuum and submit to the inevitable !

I was told to not use the furminator on labs and never heard anything negative about zoom groom.

my dogs love to be vaccumed. I use a Zoom Groom and a vacuum cleaner hose. Off the dog and right into the vacuum! I also use just the hose sometimes.

A weekly brush regularly plus a daily brush in shedding season. This is to try to keep my pants and sofas fur free. They still blow the coats no matter what you do.

BTW I though Labs shed until I got Vermont. This little fluff ball sheds like crazy and its this silky sticky puppy fluff that really sticks to my pants... I think I should have gotten all black dogs LOL that way it wouldn´t stand out.

It might break the top coat a little, but I have never noticed that happening. Either way Baloo isn't a show dog so it doesn't matter one lick to me. he loves it, leans right into it, lol! And BOY does it get the loose hair out!
