Wish I had a Night Camera

I'm beginning to think there's another nocturnal visitor in my yard and enclosed breezeway. I know a male cat comes in to pee on my chairs, but that's been for at least a year now.
My cat has to be tossed outside; she never asks to go out anymore.
Yesterday, Bean sniffed around a lot and tried to pee on the breezeway door. Then last night, when he realized I was getting ready to sleep, he nagged me until I took him out. Once out, he searched for my cat. After the cat came in, Bean settled down for bed.
I'm thinking raccoon, but would a dog mark for that?

Only Bean knows what kind of animal he smells. Don't you wish he could talk. It's so sweet that he looks out for his cat.
