    Default bladder control

So Louis, my 9 week old, has a nice little schedule going at night. He goes to bed around 10/10:30, wakes around 1/1:30 to pee, back to bed, up around 4:30/5 to pee, back to bed till 6ish. So far coffee is my friend, but any idea when he may drop one of these potty breaks?

Zoe was about 4 months (16 weeks)
so you may have about 5 more weeks of early morning pee time. I was sleepy all the time at work.

Sophie started sleeping through the night really early. She would sleep all night and wake us up at about 7am and go back to sleep till 10!! She was only about 10 weeks. Good girl, huh? Hope your boy does it for you too! Now, she is 9 months and still wakes us up at about 7 and goes back to sleep (usually) till 9 or 10. She has always slept with us, even as a baby, so we knew when she'd wake up right away.

Does he have access to water during the night? Don´t leave water for him at night. last drink should be at dinner time, then take him out. By the time you are ready to turn of the lights let him out for a last pee before crating him.

He should be able to hold it til 5 - 6 AM with no problem if you make sure he has an empty bladder before going to bed.

Vermont was three months old when I got him and he has been able to hold it through the night with no problems at all. We wake up at 6:00 AM and I usually have to wake him up (as opposed to the labs which by that time they are already jumping and fidgeting with their "Papa wake up wake up wake up" dance)

When you stop getting up for them. I did that routine with Rider for a week and then stopped with him. I never had to worry about Rookie. I didn't get up with him at all at 8 weeks.

I did that with Samwise until about 10 weeks (got him at 8wks), then only got up once in the night until about 12 weeks. He's crated at night and has always been really quiet. It's tough to tell if he needs to go or not...

I stopped getting up in the middle of the night when I noticed that I as having to wake him up every time to go out. I forgot to set the alarm once and he seemed OK in the morning, so I decided that his middle of the night pee breaks were over.

Thanks guys. So concensus is I should let him cry? I can't figure out where this pee is even coming from! I take his water away after 6, he pees before bed...and even still he was up at 1:30 last night to pee, 4:30 to pee and poop, up at 6:30. I guess I'll let him cry tonight and see what happens. Just worried he really does need to go??
