Looking for any recommendations for a good Lab-sized dog bed. Moose has been the only dog in the family and we allow him to sleep on the furniture. We're going to be adding another pup to the household and want to get a dog bed or two for them to sleep on. (I know we're not going to cure the furniture habit, but maybe they'll learn to love a dog bed instead of a human bed!) I want something that will hold up well in the washer, but isn't super expensive (<$100 preferably). Found a few on Amazon, but with mixed reviews. Love the Orvis beds, but just can't seem to bring myself to spend the money, especially if they don't end up liking them. Any suggestions are appreciated!

I don't bother with the expensive beds, since like Moose, mine prefer the couch. What I do buy are the beds at Costco; usually around $20 and if Moose isn't a chewer, they will last long enough that it's cheaper to buy a new one than waste a lot of time trying to wash them.

I have just a basic kong brand dog bed. my guys love the furniture as well but do lay on the big dog bed by the window. My parents then made them a stand for their bed so they can feel like they are on furniture. Unfortunitly my guys still prefer the couch

i would get a very cheap bed until puppy is house trained. Heck, when a new foster arrives I put Rocky "good" bed away!
Costco has some decent ones (big) at a pretty low cost.
Here is a photo of the two "main" dog beds I have. The round one is expensive, but I got it on sale, just abit over $100. The dogs LOVE it. The square one on the left is good too, and very used. It was much cheaper and from Costco. I have had it over a year and it gets it's share of wear and tear with fosters. I do put BOTH away with new fosters until I know they won't pee on them. YES they clean but it's hard to get the mattress really clean (odour free) so it's just easier to put them away. I have some cheap $20 ones that fit in the washer that I use when I fear "accidents"

We use the Costco beds at our house too. They are cheap, hold up well, and our Costo carries two different styles ( a huge round style to lay on and a medium size one more for snuggling in) AND since they cost less than $25 I don't mind trashing them when they get too disreputable looking.
Not likely, but they will use both.but maybe they'll learn to love a dog bed instead of a human bed
Mine will use any dog bed, whatever is closest to where I am. I always look for one with a zipper so it can be washed. When the stuffing is matted or smells, I throw it away and replace it with foam (human) bed toppers cut to fit the washed covers. They seem to have no preference for memory foam.
I have costco beds and Kuranda beds. The kuranda's can be washed with a hose. Love 'em.

Costco. $20 and they are great. Covers come off for washing. I have 4 for my two.
