Duke has a small growth on the lower part of his eye lid (not his actually eye). It has gotten a little larger since he first got it (about a month ago). I am going to call the vet today, but has anyone else dealt with this? It is not actually on his eye, and doesn't impair his sight. I tried to get a picture but it's so small you can't see it in my pic. TIA!
Yes, Bear had one, and had it surgically removed, it was easy
day surgery, and was benign.
Buddy has one now that we are watching to see if it grows
and starts to obstruct his vision.
See the vet !

Bailey had a large growth under his eye when I rescued him. It was an easy removal with a local anesthetic.

My Copper has a small growth on his right lower lid. It is right on the edge of the lid. Vet said we would just watch for any further growth at this time, but if it appeared that it was keeping the lid from contact with his eye (possibly inviting an eye infection) it would be dealt with by removal. He did say he has seen them numerous times and normally are very slow growing, if any growth is seen at all.
Titan had a small growth on the far corner of his left eye. We had it removed; he did fine.

We took Duke to the vet and he said almost exactly what your vet said coppercleaner. He said it was an "eye tag" and unless it got bigger there was no reason to remove it. I feel better now, thanks for your replies guys!
Peanut had a little skin tag type thing on her lower eyelid for awhile, the vet said it wasn't worth putting her under just for that, but if she had to go for a teeth cleaning or something they would take it off then. Eventually it just fell off on it's own and hasn't returned.![]()

My Boomer had them. Removed it once since it was rubbing against her eye, eventually. It came back pretty quickly. Now that I think of it, Shanny had one too and since it was rubbing the eye I had it removed. That one hasn't come back yet.

Kate that's what the vet said that sometimes it falls off on its own as well. It's pretty small and he doesn't notice it at all. The vet said just to watch it and see if it gets bigger and if it does we will remove it. Laura are they pretty common then?
