update on my daughter Ashley

First of all I would like to thank each and every person for their well wishes, thoughts and prayers. I can not even begin to tell you how much they meant to me and will mean to Ashley when I read them to her.
The past 24 hours have been like a bad dream, a pollice officer at your door is not usually a good thing and having lived through Chads' death and the notification by the police I completely fell apart before he could even tell us why he was there. I think I am kind of rambling here...
Any way, Ashley came through surgery as well as could be expected. The brain trauma is not as bad as it could have been, for which I am very thankful. She has many stiches, cuts and contusions and is still heavily sedated but she will pull through. The Drs plan to lessen the sedation tomorrow afternoon so that is a good sign.
From the bottom of my heart I thank all of you again. It is incredible to have so many caring people thinking of you during times like this. You all are nothing short of amazing...

Oh Tammy, it has to be so hard! Especially after losing Chad. I wish you weren't having to go through this, but I am thankful Ashley has come through surgery, and it looks like there'll be a good out come. Do they have her in a drug induced coma? I will continue to pray for her recovery and for the Lord to give you strength.

I missed the earlier post, but Ashley has my strongest prayers now. I'm glad she came through surgery ok, and I pray for an uneventful recovery. Prayers for you too.

My thoughts have been with you all day and I am soooo..... happy to hear that the damage to the brain area has turned out better than you expected. Bones will heal. I will continue to send good thought and prayers your way. Please keep us updated.
