Default Abby had her physical & teeth cleaned today.

Well her physical was Tuesday. She had to go in for pre-anesthesia blood work. She is great.
Heartworm & Lyme negative. Yeah!! Labs were good. Today she went in at 8:30 for her teeth cleaning. Dave just brought her home. She is a bit out of it. But she is probably wondering why she isn't getting to eat. She has to wait till tomorrow morning. Poor baby.

Yay on the good report!! Poor Abby though, the worst bit for her is probably not being able to eat

I am glad Abby's blood work was good! How often do you get her teeth cleaned? Sophie has only had her big dog teeth a few months now, and I am not sure when to take her to have them cleaned.

This is the first time and she will be 6 years old on the 15th of this month. She had some tartar & I know that's not good as they get older. We brush their teeth & they get marrow bones, but there was still tartar build up.

Good girl Abby! I am glad her blood work looked good, that is awesome. I feel bad that she can't eat, is that because of the anesteshia for the cleaning?

I'm glad she is home and feeling well, hopefully she sleeps off the anesthesia and isn't too hungry tonight. At almost 4 Bauer doesn't have a smidge of tartar build-up. I work in the dental field, and the vet always jokingly asks if I bleach Bauer's teeth (they are incredibly white). I am hoping that it lasts for the next few years .

Yes, she is still kind of out of it from the anesthesia. She is sleeping now, so hopefully the night will go fast for her.

Glad for the good report and the reminder Georgie. Sammi will be 6 on the 3rd of next month and is due for her physical and they will check her teeth at that time. Last year they looked really good and are still doing pretty well now. We will see what the vet says. Shots are good as I gave them to her last yr. and vet did rabies, she is on a 3yrs. schd.

What do you do to keep Bauer's teeth so clean and pearly white?
