Oh. My. God. Remy finally snapped last night.

bing.
Bing.
BING! went his little brain around 9:00 last night. After 2 weeks of me being down and out for the count with a sinus infection so no walkies, no running around the house, no decent exercise sent him on a mad marathon of loops around our first floor last night for about 5 minutes. He kept rebounding into the sectional couch during his laps and literally lifted the whole thing off the floor!!

He finally plopped down at my feet with a look of "Boy, I needed that!" Silly Goob.

Oh! Oh! I love the zoomies! My beagles used to do this (complete with that "banking off the couch" thing) EVERY night at 7:10. They are retired zoomers, now, but man oh man that was some high entertainment for us when they were young!

Eddie & JJ do this every night, arouond 7 - the dining room and living room become a race track! It's great fun.

Hahaha!! The Zoomies! Good name for it! Sophie does it often. She will run like a bullit, up over the sofa in the living room, into the family room, over the recliner and through the kitchen and back to the living room. Our kitchen is open-ended and she can make a circle round and round!

I call them puppy bursts, but since Diesel isn't a puppy anymore, zoomies is perfect!! I can totally picture Remy's face after..... must have been hilarious!!

I love the Zoomies. Mine will usually get them in the winter when their exercise routine has slowed down.

Speaking of snapping: Tonight I was sitting at our complex's Friday happy hour, chatting with our resident professor of Talmudic Studies. (No kidding.) SU came in with Theo and handed him to me while she went to get a snack. He was sitting like a good boy and I was half paying attention to him when he saw a chip on the floor across the room and BOLTED to get it. He pulled me right out of the chair and onto my ass, while both the chair and my recently filled gin & tonic landed on top of me. This was apparently very amusing for everyone but me.
