I hope Duke's Dad pops in and comments on this. He put in several dog parks in the Houston area. Bone shaped pools for the dogs and I don't know what else.
Hershey Kisses, In charge of getting Ed out to the dog park so that he gets some exercise.

I think you did well. It is like mayhem sometimes when all the dogs get going. Unless he was being a bully a the dog park I wouldn't worry, but do understand. Kassa used to be a barking idiot until she relaxed. Erns run around barking then takes off.

Sounds like you did the right thing. Soem dogs, no matter what their age are submissive.

Eddie growls all the time when he plays. I know he is just talking, trash most of the time. At the bark park I watch him and we move if it seems like it is getting out of control. Other dogs annoy him.

Our bark park is about 12 acres and one side is on the pond which is a couple of acres so we have plenty of room to have fun without mixing with others. We also walk the rest of the park, he enjoys that far more than playing with strange dogs that might hurt him. He was before and has a loooong memory.

ugh. Malone is SUPER DUPER vocal too, but only at certain times! Like, yesterday I felt like an absolute BAD puppy mommy - when I picked up my doggie who was in a KENNEL at doggie daycare cuz he kept YAPPING if a human wasn't near him. Yep he's one of those dogs. He is nice and quiet at home when we're gone, but if he can HEAR humans..... he will bark and whine.

i guess something i need to work on. *heavy sigh*...

    I SO hear ya!
