Chocolates shouldn't be bred?

Aside from the person being an idiot...maybe they were thinking of a chocolate being bred to a yellow? I know a number of breeders that avoid that kind of cross

I seem to remember at one point in the labrador history Chocolate labs were considered inferior and were not desirable, if I remember correctly. Thank heavens that has changed.

I thought that the whole chocolates not desired in the past may have had something to do with it. I was curious if anyone still felt that way (obviously not).
