I took Kolby by himself out to the Peach Festival earlier today. There was a parade while we were there, so the place was PACKED with lots of people and dogs, not to mention all of the loud noises of the bands, etc in the parade.
He was such a good boy today! He heeled, sat whenever I stopped walking, was polite when people asked to pet him and minded well the whole time. We walked up and down the main street for a few miles and came across a woman who asked if her son could pet Kolby. Her son was probably about 10 years old, had Down's syndrome and was wheelchair bound. I asked Kolby to sit right next to him, which he did, and the boy snuggled right up to him. Kolby even sniffed the boy's face and didn't lick the leftover cotton candy off his face. What a good boy he is!
We start our 4 week therapy dog class next week and then he will test for the CGC/TDI. I hope he passes with flying colors!!
