I went to the vet last night to pick up Otis' ashes. When she handed me the bag she said 'we put something else in there for you.'

They made an impression of his paw before they sent him away to be cremated. I sat in that parking lot and bawled all over again. What an incredibly thoughtful thing for them to do for people.

When Sammy passed, my vets office did the same thing and it was a complete surprise. It's something we will cherish forever.

What a thoughtful thing for them to do. I know all of our vets and their staff see our furbabies at their best; happy, healthly and full of life and also at the end of their earthly road when the pain and suffering is heartbreaking for us as their owners and for the vet staff who have watched them grow with us over the years. What a thoughtful thing! I've been hearing a lot of vets are doing that now. Its so sweet of them.
