Cappy's Surgery

[Cappy_TX]

is scheduled for tomorrow morning. He's having a dental cleaning and while out they will remove a large lipoma on his left side that we've been monitoring for the past 18 months. It's been aspirated several times, deemed benign, but now's the time to do it.



While he's under, he also has a large mole near his left eye that will bleed if he happens to scratch it so we hope to have that one removed also. As long as he's going through this process, we made a chart for our vet providing the location of all of the external "lumps" on his body to have them looked at and aspirated if not removed. We realize that this number on an eleven year old Lab is not uncommon. But we'd still appreciate your good thoughts if you can spare a few, please.

Oh! Poor Cappy. They are going to make you sleepy and then take advantage of you. Poking and cutting all over. Your poor guy. But rest easy, Jim is only doing this stuff to help you live a longer and happier, healthy life.

Tankie has quite a number of those going on. He actually has one about the same spot as Cappy's larger one. I am with you - as long as he is out you might as well get them taken care of if necessary. Last time Tank had dental work at age 10 he got neutered in the process Hubby did not feel it was necessary of course..........
