Get a clicker and you can train all kinds of fun stuff. teach hand touches, teach "look at me" teach find the dumbell with my scent. teach "turn right" turn left" "sit""Down" Stand" "turn on a light switch"" teach toys by name"" lay on side"" lay on back"" hold"" teach a yawn on command"" Find the remote""pick up something I drop" etc.

Amber broke two toes as a pup and had to be kept busy. A clicker and a young lab can be more fun than a barrel of monkeys.

I second the clicker training, you can teach her lots of things that require her to work mentally.
