    Default Breakfast?

I am in a breakfast rut. Same thing, every day. :ugly: It's either 6 oz of yogurt, a couple of handfuls of granola and some blueberries or 2 slices of whole wheat toast spread with sunflower butter.

    Zzzzzzzz.

I used to eat Grape Nuts, too. Until I saw how much sugar was in each serving. Then, I realized that my idea of a serving size vastly differed from what theirs is. :embarrass:

I am one of those people who need protein in the morning. Plus, if I have a protein-rich breakfast, it keeps me away from the 10: 30 am snackies.

So, what do you have for breakfast? I need ideas!

I follow the South Beach Diet so I have scrambled egg beaters (with low fat cheese and mushrooms) and either 2 pieces of turkey bacon or 2 turkey sausage patties. Those Jimmy Dean turkey sausage patties are delish!!!

Or, recently I started making steel cut oats in the crockpot.

I need ideas too, I've been only drinking coffee and eating nutra grain bars, but I'm tired of it.

i always must have coffee. as far as food goes i usually have an orange special k bliss bar and a banana or a sweet and salty granola peanut bar. or sometimes it's very similar to bbbmom's breakfast except i have a cheese omelet with eggbeater's and turkey sausage or turkey bacon.
Its all fun and games until the flying monkeys attack

    1 cup lo-fat milk
    2-3 fresh strawberries
    2 scoops whey protein powder
    7 ice cubes

Whirl in a blender. Drink. Enjoy.

I have this when I absolutely cannot eat one more oat of steel cut oats. I'll sometimes vary w/blackberries or raspberries (using more than 3 because they're so damned small). Today, I threw caution to the wind and used half a banana.

I had a scrambled egg wrap w/ a little sprinkle of cheese and bacon on a multigrain wrap. It was quite yummeh, but I only have it every once in a while. I've been doing smoothies w/ strawberries and blueberries.

oh, yeah. Bfst wraps are great. I've done a fried egg w/a little lo-fat cheese on a whole wheat english muffin. Great for when you've got to eat in the car......

Breakfast wraps sound delish! Thank you! And, how could I forget an omelet?

Dan? What kind of protein powder do you use? From what I recall, some are chalkier tasting then others?

Oooh...I will get some of the Jimmy Dean turkey sausage. Be good for the hubby to eat, too.

Body Fortress. I only buy the vanilla because it's the most adaptable (I put it in my oatmeal, too). But I know it comes in Choc and Fruit.
