Today the Dr. suggested I at least try the 2 weeks of Phase 1 and I'm just wondering what some of your favorite things to eat were? I really hate meat except for turkey or chicken breast. I see myself eating omelets every meal, ha ha! I do like salads though.
I ate pretty much 'normal' dinners, except no (or low) carbs. So I'd still have steak and veggies or chicken w/a side salad, but no rice, pasta, bread, potato, or dessert (in the purge period). After the purge, the carbs I DID add back I made sure they were hi-fiber. So now, when we have a pasta night, I make sure it's whole wheat pasta, which I'm actually liking the taste of better than that bleached-bland white stuff anyway.
Also discovered that I never really liked rice in the first place.
I just LOVED the snack things you could eat a lot of but still net very few carbos: Almonds, beef jerky, lo-fat cheese stix, pistachios.......
Ooh, beef jerky wasn't on my list...it is now!

Day 2....I'm getting the hang of it!!! String cheese is my favorite. Going to eat some SF Jello tonight. My 2 slices of turkey bacon were soooooo good this morning. I haven't had bacon in years!!!
