I am horribly out of shape, weigh "way" too much, no real health problems - yet ...... I know tons about nutrition, health and excercise - but just can't get started. The only time I have successfully lost weight was either on the Adkins diet, or a "fat-flush" diet that I did last year ( seem to do better with "restricted diets", but only for short term of course). I plan on "starting tomorrow" almost every day! What I would like to hear is some "Success stories" from you guys - how you really made yourself get started, and stuck with it....... HELP!
My motivation was when my doctor told me every 10 pounds I lose will help my knee. I need a knee replacement, and weight loss will help now and with recovery when I have the surgery. I also find that it helps to make myself accountable. That is why I have posted my weight and how much I have lost each week. I lost 10 pounds toward the end of last year and another 20 since Jan. I'll be happy if I don't lose any more, but trying for another 10.
