Well, I was wondering how many of you have horrible times a week or two before that dreaded monthly visitor? I start my days out ok, but since it's now less than a week away, I've been HORRIBLE!!! What can be done? I know exercise is great, but I still can't wear a shoe. Tomorrow should be the day for the shoe, but even then it will be awhile before I can do any serious walking, etc. Help! I hate this time of the month!! It puts a real damper in my weight loss attempts![]()

The Love of My Life
Rest in peace my Sweet Chocolate
I Love You and Miss You so much
He is your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog. You are his life, his love, his leader. He will be yours, faithful and true, to the last beat of his heart. You owe it to him to be worthy of such devotion.

Try doing situps, modified pushups, or lifting weights with your arms to get your heart rate up. I always watch what I put in my mouth during the week before, and I workout a little lighter. It isn't good to put your body through a vigorous workout when it is preparing for that time. There are also some moves that you can't do in Yoga while you are on.
I don't know what eating plan you are on, but with Weight Watchers, I plan my week accordingly. I know I want Chocolate the week before and the week during. So I keep Sugar Free Chocolate Syrup in the house and fat free milk. I drink that to satisfy me, and get a milk serving in. I also keep fun size candy bars and drink that with a glass of FF plain milk. I remember to allow enough points in my days for those cravings.
I am a chocolate fiend before Aunt Flo comes...and I figure it into my day. I love the smart ones chocolate cake....zap into the microwave and I am in heaven.
Amanda, why shouldn't you work out rigorously before your period?

I am not sure on the specifics, but I was informed by my trainer that I have to tell him when I am about to start so we don't over exert. Something he learned in class about the female body. I'll have to ask him for more specifics. Plus, you shouldn't do anything where your legs are inverted like in certain yoga positions.Originally Posted by Dani
