Default Uggggg.. The torture that is "Food Network"

I'd like to use a parental control from our cable company to effectively block Food Network forever. Watching Paula Deen pipe orange frosting onto chocolate Halloween cupcakes, seeing Alton Brown make waffles from scratch, drolling through Bobby Flay grill up some cheesesteaks, Giada and her biscotti, Ina and her lasagne, Rachel and her sammies, Marc Summers showing us the construction of Whoppers and Jelly Bellys....

It's more than a dieting person can bear!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I dislike Rach, too. IMHO, there's a big difference between BEING perky and TRYING to be perky.

But her food does make me salivate......

For me, it is not so much Food TV, but the mags at the supermarket. Gourmet and Bon Appetite both came home with me this week under the auspices of scouring for holiday meals.

Hmmmm....mashed potatoes with a half a pound of butter, 1.5 cups of heavy cream, and a pound of cheese. It is for Thanksgiving dinner, isn't it? My family deserves this! :-\

    Gah!

I can't watch it when watching what I eat. My SU on the other hand just brought total destruction to my caloric intake Saturday after he watched Bobby Flay in some fish and chip showdown. Of course I couldn't say no to homemade fish and chips, and I may have joyfully cut potatoes and preheated the oil on the stove.

I didn't eat breakfast or lunch though, if that makes it any better.

Just reading this is more than I can bear.
There was a family party on the w/end and guess who ended up being given left overs. I know i should have thrown them away, but no just had to stuff that whole carrot cake and cream cheeese icing where it doesn't belong.
