    Default Diet Phase II:

Well, I think I've had the amount of success on the diet from the nutritionist as I'm going to get from diet alone. Roughly 20 lbs since the first of the year. Which I'm thrilled with. But I'm not comfortable cutting more calories and am pretty happy with what I'm eating right now.

But I've hit the dreaded plateau. Down a couple of pounds...up a couple of pounds...repeat.

So I've joined a gym. Printed out my old workout schedule of yore (I was a gym rat about 15 years ago) dusted it off and plan on slowly easing back into my old routine. Modified it a lot to protect my back and just hoping I can keep from reinjuring myself. 15 years is a big difference.

Today is Day One. Going after work - with hubby (who was the one who wanted to join in the first place believe it or not). Yesterday was gym introduction with dorky "high-five" kid who was useless to me for my free trainer session. Going to do a 4 a week rotation with core and cardio every day and 3 days of weight training. A few more weeks before fall and I have a pair of jeans I want to get into...10 - 15 more pounds would be ideal.

Oh. And I stocked up on Advil. This getting old thing is brutal.

Good luck- remember that muscle weighs more than fat. So if you see the scale go up- you're getting buff

How many people can make you feel extraordinary?"- John Grogan
