Maybe I'm the only one trying to lose the fat this spring... this section doesn't seem very active these days. But that's okay, I don't post often here either.
Just posting today because I'm down 14 lbs. I have found the secret to weight loss. LESS CALORIES. Doesn't really matter if I work out or exercise more... but when I do it comes off faster.
I want to lose 7 more pounds before my target date of June 29. Looks like I might do it! If I can make it to my target weight before my target date, I'm going to continue with the diet and try for 2 more pounds.
Then I have promised myself I will NOT put it back on. I'm going to check the scale often and watch portion sizes
If anyone else is still around... how goes your dieting??
Oh, and BTW, Skinny Cows are wonderful!!! Really satisfies my need for sweets at only 150 calories. If you like icecream, give them a try.
CONGRATULATIONS!! 14lb is a massive achievement! I am also on the weight loss track, would like to lose about another 15 lbs or so.

Good for you!! I'm still dieting and exercizing, but seem to have reached a plateau...hoping to lose another 5 or 6 pounds over the next few weeks. But that's my motto...less calories. That is the only way to lose it.

Well ladies, keep at it. The thing that REALLY motivates me is that I'm fitting into all those jeans that have been hanging in my closet for when "I lose the weight". WooHoo! It really is motivating to pull them on and be able to wear them instead of taking them off in disgust![]()
I need to lose weight, really bad. I just can't seem to come up with the will power. My sister is very large and I vowed that I never want to get like her (300+) but I have no idea why it's so hard to get motivated. Any suggestions?
Suggestions for motivation.... for me, i have a wedding to go to in a few months, i have seen the dress i want to wear but it is only going to look good if i drop about 14lbs. That is my current motivation. In the past (when i was about 4 stone over weight), i set myself a challenge. The challenge was to run (not walk or crawl..) a 5k for a charity that is very special to me. That meant training every day for about 4 months. There are many things you can use for motivation, it just depends on what motivates you. Now, at the age of 37, i want to get back to the weight i was at 25. The hardest thing i found was food, i dont eat big meals, but i 'pick' all day long. Now i make sure i have a good breakfast (poached egg on toast), Prawn salad for lunch and a normal size dinner, snacks are negative calorie food like celery etc. Or make some home made veg soup, that is very filling and low cal/fat. Thanks! My motivation should be to loose this belly. I'm ashamed of it, and hate the way I look. It reflects on my mental state of mind. I guess I just need someone to kick me in the butt and get me going.
