Ugh. I basically lost the last month. I got sick for 3 weeks and we really only able to do some occasional weight training, but no cardio. So my weight was flat for 3 weeks. Then last week I got back into the groove, but I was so ravenous since I got my appetite back...no weight loss.
So this week I'm starting my next phase of my workout.
I've increased my weight training to include other muscle groups besides my arms. I'm doing a chest press and a lat-pull. In another week or so I'll add some leg exercises too...
And today I started mixing in some running with my walking on the treadmill. I don't know if my ankles will let me get up to a full run, but at least I can get more bang for my buck for the time I have.
I have lost 11 pounds since the first of the year. Not quite on target, but still hoping for 10 more pounds before France...11 weeks to go!
How are you doing?

I don't usually come to this part of the forum, but I am trying to lose weight and I am getting a bit frustrated.
After reviewing many diets, I have opted to simply count calories. I've run the numbers and for my height/activity level.. to maintain my weight I would need 2200 to 2500 calories a day. To lose weight I need 1500 to 1800 a day. I am trying to stay close to 1200 a day and so far that's been going well. And I normally do eat low fat / low sodium anyway, so that's a given.
I have been doing the treadmill and on alternate days doing weights. I do this at home (I hate gyms and never have time to go to one anyway). I also walk/run my dogs every morning in agility and have started riding my horse(s) again.
I've lost 9 pounds. To reach my goal I need to lose 11 more, but it is coming off so slowly... I sometimes feel like making a pig of myself. But I haven't.
Please tell me the last 11 pounds will come off?
My goal is to reach my weight goal by June 29 (no reason why that date, just that the program I used to calculate my calorie intake told me that would be the target date for losing the weight in a healthful manner). It seems so far away!!
Just posting today to say my rant of yesterday was unfounded. It IS working. Today was my weigh-in day. Yesterday I felt very fat and gross. I expected to have lost no weight this week... but the scale says I lost THREE pounds. So I am very motivated to continue this quest. Today is weight training workout, and I'll be pushing the envelope![]()
sorry, just seen this. Good job!!!
