I am at my sisters house and her cat (almost 2) is on proplan indoor. My 5 cats do well on it, but hers doesnt seem to, I was wondering if she should try a sensitive stomach food? And if so any suggestions?
All 7 of my kids are on proplan. ??? But he seems to throw up a lot, she is in the hospital, I took away his food for now and am boiling him chicken?
Any input would be helpful. He has been like this since she adopted him.

I have a couple of sensitive cats and as my elderly dude aged he got more and more particular about what he can eat -
he now eats (and everybody else does too) a mix of Royal Canine Sensitive stomach and oral sensitive stomach (my cerebelar kitty finds the large kibble much easier to eat)
it's working well for us - I have tried a couple of different versions and this stays down best around here![]()

Is it the oral sensitive care? I see petco has it. And do you think I could just switch his food without doing the half and half? I have taken his food away since last night and have only given him boiled chicken? I also suggested that maybe he not be free fed? I dont free feed mine I feed them twice a day as I do my Labs. ty for your reply though, it is much appreciated.

yup I think thats the name of it - purple stripes on the bag
I find the larger kibble size slows the chewing down which can help too
I switch cats cold turkey quite often as I'm often not sure what they have been fed (we foster cats as well as dogs) but if I could switch gradually I would.
My cats have been both free fed and meal fed and I personally haven't noticed a difference in terms of tummy upset
np I'm happy to offer what limited thoughts I have![]()

Ok(lol) the waiting game, I gave him just a fistful in his bowl last night, so far nothing in the floor, and he was asking for food this am another fistful, just to see. I brought my carpet cleaner with me and so far have used it every day this week. I went through the same thing with my kittens a few months ago and it was so frustrating, until I found what worked for them. But thank you.
