It is a daily battle keeping my cats off the kitchen counters, I hate this but battle it everyday,
it is the only place I dont wish them to be any ideas? Water doesnt work.

I gave up trying. My kitties will not listen to me at all.
Has anyone ever tried sticky paws and it work? Or the scat mat?

Well, in OUR house we are very firm w/our kitties & let them know in no uncertain terms who is boss.
If you would just take control of your kitties like we do ours, there'd be no problems . . .

Seriously, I know 2 methods that really work.
1. When kitty lands on counter, take a flyswatter or magazine & very sharply & loudly rap the counter with it behind kitty & then drop it or put it behind your back. Do not yell or scold kitty. Cats hate surprises & loud noises, & this is both. But you want kitty to associate that bad thing with the counter, not with you. Be nonchalant in your attitude (if you can look the other way while rapping, so much the better).
2. If you can't do anything behind kitty's back, then quickly blow in kitty's face. Try to hiss at the same time. This is how their mothers disciplined them when they were kittens. It doesn't hurt them, but (again) they just HATE when that happens.
Good Luck!
