    Default Feed Choices

I need help - my cats are currently eating Nutro cat (not sure the name) Anyways I need to change because the kibble is too large and they crunch it up in a million little pieces - I have actually watched one of my cats eats for like 10 minutes and basically eat nothing...I like the food, like their coats, like the overall ingredients but can stand to watch the poor kitties go through all that ... I have tried Science Diet in the past and it did not agree with their stomachs - They are both 6 years old - Any other info you need to know ask - I would like to start the switch now because i have like half a bag left - I am up for all ideas!

Have you considered canned food? my cats thrive on it.

I don't think what I feed is available in the USA. It is called Whiskas. It is hardly the best of quality but I can't fault it because none of my cats have ever visited the vet. Not once, and they are very healthy. My big male could stand to use a few pounds but in terms of health, again I can't fault him.

I do leave dry food down for them but the canned makes up most of their meals. The dry I use is the cat version of what I feed my dogs. They seem to love it and the ingredients are good quality. Not sure it is available in the US though.

I know that many of the high quality dog food brands also make cat food. Innova wet/dry food looks fantastic. Eagle Pack also looks pretty good.

I've been feeding Innova to mine, and they love it. They also do really well on it, I find the litter boxes are a bit less stinky, they seem to process all the ingredients rather than just pass the fillers. So even though it's more expensive, they don't seem to eat quite as much as they did with other dry foods, but they're doing great with weight and energy levels. Coats and eyes look great, too.

The only problem is making absolutely certain that I don't let the dogs get access to where the cat food is, or they will vacuum the stuff up in no time flat!
