I read a lot of posts on here about greenies not being good for dogs- I think mostly because of the dogs getting large pieces off and getting them stuck in throat or obstructions. I don't think it had anything to do with nutrition, right? They make greenies for cats and my husband bought some and our cat LOVES them. It is one of the only things he loves. They are just small and chewable so I guess they are ok but i wanted to run it by you all. What do you think? Anyone else feed these? I have also heard some people refer to them as "crack for dogs"? What is this all about? Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!
Greenies are a problem if the dog bites off a big piece and swallows it without chewing properly. They don't digest well in large pieces and can cause a blockage. The kitty Greenies are really tiny, so I don't think I'd worry about it.
I wish we could find a treat that our cat would eat. She had no interest in the little greenies.
