Sam will turn 15 in July, and she is my sweet sweet girl.* She has seen me through much of my life.* Out of the blue she had an accident yesterday, and then another one this morning.* I have made an appointment at the vet, and they said they will first check for a bladder infection.
My heart is heavy as this is how her sister's decline started two years ago.* Otherwise, Sam seems perfectly healthy, though she has always been thin.
If anyone has experience with bladder infections, or what else might be the cause, or just some words of wisdom, I'd appreciate it.
Thanks,
Erin

How did the trip to the vet go?
I've had cats over the years who have had bladder infections and a course of antibiotics has quickly solved the problem every time.
Won't someone please feed me!
We have an appointment this morning. She now has a new box by her bed, and she is going potty in there. Eating good, playing, teasing the dog, cuddling at night. We'll see what the vet says!!

Looks like Sam may have kidney and thyroid problems. We will receive all firm results next week, but as for now she is on an antibiotic and is using her cat box. The vet knows my goal is to keep her comfortable during her last years.

Poor Sam!* I'm keeping a good thought.
Providing a litter box closer to her bed was so thoughtful.* I know they hate it when they can't get to their box.
Please keep us posted on her progress . . .
