I'm sad and worried.
Sadie didn't eat the 24th, but we chocked it up to a house full of people making her a bit skittish. The the 25th came, and when we came home in the evening we saw that she hadn't eaten at all nor had she eaten her favorite treat I'd left out for her. Sadie's a piggy so this was all very weird. When we came home Christmas night she was hiding under the bed and wouldn't come out. In the middle of the night she jumped on the bed and snuggled, which made me feel better. Morning of the 26th, Sadie still hasn't eaten and is still very quiet (also unlike her), and she vomits bile (guessing because she hadn't eaten).
I decided I needed to take her in ASAP and not wait until Monday for our regular vet to open up. My biggest concern was her quietness and possible dehydration (I hadn't seen her drinking water either).
The vet said she was dehydrated, and that they could keep her overnight to run lab tests and get fluids in her. I gladly paid the few hundred dollar deposit to have them do it.
I'm supposed to call in about an hour to check in to see how she's doing. I'm hoping she's better and that they were able to figure out what was wrong with her. I'm thinking she might've eaten something funky, but I've searched the house high and low for something gotten into but no luck.
I hope it's not serious. Please keep us posted, good thoughts to your Sadie.

Oh no! Your Sadie doesn't seem that old (going by previous posts). I hope it all turns out well and she bounces back just fine.

Arg! I hope everything turns out alright.
She isn't that old. She's about 2 years old. The vet informed me that she was going into kidney failure and is trying to stabilize her. He said that she looks good when you look at her, but the blood tests are coming back not good. He seems to think she'll be okay, but it's still heartbreaking nonetheless.
He asked if she possibly had any antifreeze or grapes/raisins, but that's a negative. We don't have any of that in that house. I'm just really glad that I decided to take her in yesterday. I imagine a few days in the vet plus all these tests/fluids will cost me a pretty penny, but she's my Sadie kitty and she's worth it.
Thanks for the well wishes.
I am glad the outlook is good. I'll keep my fingers crossed nonetheless. My kitties are almost 18 and 16. I can't imagine something happening to them. Switching my cat's food has never bothered them.

Just got off the phone with the vet. The good news is all her elevated levels of stuff are now in the normal range, except one. He's keeping her another day to continue flushing out her system, and anticipates she'll be able to return home tomorrow.
He keeps insisting she ate anti-freeze, grapes, or raisins. We don't have any of that stuff in the house so we're still baffled, and she's a strictly indoor cat. We've cleaned the house top to bottom to ensure that whatever was there is gone.
