you might recall last fall many of you stepped up and helped fund an orthopedic surgery for a siamese cat who incredible damage done to her hind end (consistent with being grabbed out of a tree torqued then dropped)
Delilah came through the surgery and requiste crate very well - she headed off to live in a home where she could be a total princess but unfortunately her mom developed SEVERE allergies to her - tried everything - air filters, medications, homepathic remedies - if someone suggested it she tried it ... after 6 months she could no longer walk her dog or speak without wheezing - I took Delilah back for one weekend only and then suggested she not go back .. the adoptor is trying to find info about a series of shots that are based on the individual allergan provoking animal - she misses Delilah terribly.
Delilah turns out her back foot a little when she runs fast but that is the only sign of any damage. She is hilarious and sweet and funny (although she does pick on the deaf kitten by sneaking up on him when she wants to play - Duffy doesn't find it as funny as Delilah does). She is a dear cat I really hope can return home.
Thanks for asking TF![]()

Just happened across this now - I had looked back in your original thread, but nada, and I didn't want to pester. Thanks for the update. I think I know who the poor allergic "mamma" is, and I'm sorry - but she's lucky she has you. You are a good kid.
Has she always had an allergy to cats? Siamese, I've heard, can sometimes be pretty bad for allergies - I'm not sure why, but I remember my allergist being surprised when I wasn't allergic to Cleo - she was like "and she's Siamese? " she must have repeated that about 4 times...

she's always had moderate allergies to cats (well for the last 25 years) but she has never had health threatening allergies so to speak
she's totally bummed out about it - as am I
we got another busted baby yesterday - 4 months old leg surgically held together - though wasn't in as many pieces as Delilah . hunny just named him travolta - cause he wants to dance man .. dance![]()

That is a great name! Allergies are the devil - I don't know what I would do if mine got worse -and luckily, the reaction I had to Helo seems to be getting better, but I'm still taking allergy meds 2x a day - my seasonal ones are off the charts right now too.
I will pray that her allergy to Delilah clears up, and that Travolta has many great years in your household!

Travolta is a FOSTER cat ... LOL..
we did give up adn decide to adopt Cotton - the 3 legged 3 week old who arrived on valentines day. we have always had a big schmoo of a male cat and when Nando died that hole was looming large - Cotton is the first cat we have decided to adopt in over 10 years - others have stayed and we've been happy to have them but after the folks who adopted his sister didn't want him too we gave up looking a lot faster than usual
technically we have 2 cats of our own now - the 11 year old Julia and the 10 month old Cotton![]()
