It's called a "Lion" cut. Hopefully this will keep her cleaner. She doesn't look like a 20 pound cat, but she is.

How did she do with that? She is cute

Thanks. She was super-clingy yesterday after it was done. I don't think she's especially happy about it. Apparently, she was pretty good for the groomer. Hopefully it takes awhile to grow back.
Oh so cute! Is this her first haircut? My Bella gets a lion cut about twice a year. I love it and so does she!

Yep, this was her first time. It was hard to find a groomer who was willing to do cats. She has long, thick fur and occasionally gets stuff stuck to her back end. Plus she hate, hate, hates being brushed. I hope she'll grow to love it.
Ditto here on the thick hair and rear end junk. Bella hates, hates, hates, getting a haircut. But after it is done, she is the queen of the house and in a much better mood. And there is less of her fur laying around on the carpet, couch, chair etc.

I'm hoping she gets back to herself soon. She's more sociable and we are too with her. Before we shooed her away more before she smelled bad and I didn't really want her too close to the baby. Now she's cleaner and nice to pet, so hopefully she'll equate a good haircut with more attention and learn to like it.
If I did that to my cat Orangey he would run away from home. OMG!
