New to forum with 10 year old Lab

Hi. I have a 10 year old yellow lab named Daisy. I have had her since she was 8 weeks old. She is an amazing dog. I recently tried to add a new dog to our family, a Cairn Terrier, but it didn't work out with my two small kids and I had to give him back to the breeder after having him for 5 months. I was on a forum for the Cairn Terrier because I was dealing with all the usual puppy issues and the forum was helpful. Now that he (Gus) is gone I decided that maybe I should join a forum for Labs, because it is kind of addicting.

I look forward to meeting some fellow Lab enthusiasts!

Welcome to the forum. Sorry to hear it did not work out for Gus. Do you have pictures of Daisy? We would like to see them.

I only have one picture of Daisy on this computer. It is a few years old, but she looks pretty much the same.....aging gracefully!

Welcome from PA! Sorry the puppy didn't work out, that's a shame. Maybe a different breed would have fit your kids better?

Yes, I'm wondering why I strayed from Labs. I think in a few years we will get another Lab. I was amazed at how differently my kids acted around a small breed puppy compared to how they act around Daisy. It's like they lost all common sense.

The whole experience just made me appreciate Daisy even more. She is so well behaved and is so great with the kids.
