Hard to say. You might just be gifted at training!

I am guessing but do you mean housebroken? If so, no that would be about right. If you mean you had a fully trained dog at 4 months, please spill your secrets!

Oh how fast the years go with these loves. I can't believe that Jack will be 4 in March. We got him in June when he was 10 weeks old and we have enjoyed every step along the way. Thanks for the photo of your lovely girl.

I mean housebroken as well as no nipping, mouthing, jumping up. She never chewed up anything like furniture etc. She did steal shoes and chew a few at first but the "leave it" command which she learned very fast took care of that. She just seemed to know what was hers and what was not after a very short time. At 6 months she may very well have saved my son. In the middle of the night she came to my bed and woke me up. At first I thought she had to go out even though she had not had to go out during the night in months so I got up and went to get her leash (opposite side of the house from my son's room) and she would not come, I put her leash on and tried to take her out but she started to bark and resisted, I let go of the leash and she ran into my son's room and back out to me barking - I went in and she put her front paws on his bed and was whining. My son had vomited in his sleep and did not wake up! He was laying on his back and when I picked him up (sorry this is kind of gross) his mouth was full of it. He could have choked. She has done similar things since. The breeder we got her from did tell me that she had wanted to keep her because she saw something in her but her husband was not on board - I for one am happy he wasn't!

Tried to add a pic of them here, not sure it worked?

She does sound like a very special girl. We will be waiting for other stories. Love her and take care of her. She really sounds like she is a people pleaser.
