You can always get cheaper dogs with no guarantees from the usually back yard breeder,

Spend a little bit more please and go to a registered breeder.

Hi Darren welcome to the forum! My 26 yr old son's name is Darren too! Good name! Have you checked lab rescues in your area? Also soemtimes you can get dogs from service organizations that they are moving out.
