Default Greetings - soon to be new lab owner from Iowa

    Hello all,

Thought I would register and say hello. I like the forum; lots of great posts and info here. I have never owned a pure lab before but we will be picking up our puppy in March and are excited about it. Have had lots of mutts, rescued, and a pure boxer before but never a lab. We currently have a border collie / lab mix (mostly border collie tho). We are going with a chocolate lab, I just find those to be so beautiful. I cannot wait to work with the dog and train it.

    Anyhow, hello

Welcome! I also have a Lab/Border Collie mix and a Lab! Where are you getting your puppy? I can't wait for pictures.

A litter is due in 2 weeks in Mt. Pleasant Iowa so we wont be able to actually bring him home until the 1st or 2nd week of March. Of course this is all dependent upon if there are any boy pups and chocolate. We are set on wanting a male chocolate.

That is so exciting! I remember waiting for Maxx, I was on pins and needles waiting for the babies and to bring him home. Our breeder sent me pics several times a week and videos so we could watch him grow. It is worth the wait though! Good luck.

Welcome! Are you sure you have the timing right? If the due date is apx 1/20 you should bring puppy home around 3/20.

Welcome, and it is worth the wait. Ours is 5 months old and I was so excited to get her home at 9 weeks.
The voices in my head may not be real, but they have some good ideas!
