Hello, we are new :-)

Hello everyone.....We have a gorgeous Lab called Charlie :-) Hes 20 months old now and finally we are mastering our recall!

We got Charlie when he was 7 months old, and he has come such a long way!
Im a but unsure whether is he a full lab or ive possibly been told hes the working bred of lab?
I will try and upload a pic so if anyone has any ideas? Im obviously not fussed either way, but a few family members keep saying he has collie in him? hmmm we do have pedigree papers with him, but hes not registered.

Welcome Katie and Charlie! Newbie here also and not yet a Lab owner. We love the name Charlie too and maybe going with that name but not absolutely sure just yet. Should have him in a few weeks if all goes according to plan.

Looks like Charlie is a popular name :-)
Charlie's original name was marley, but we decided to change it, so he had a completely fresh start.
We dont know the full past of Charlie....we got him from a family who had 5 young children and no time for him. He was 7 months old when we got him, he didnt know how to sit, didnt know what a collor or a lead was :-/ and we think he had lived mainly outside. He was absolutely petrified of men, wouldnt go near my husband for a while, but he now has the strongest bond with Charlie :-)
He really has come a long way...and is becoming a great family dog. We are still working with his recall when meeting dogs. He gets soooo excited and doesnt stop trying to push them etc, eventually he comes back. He is improving every day.

I will try the photo again, Is there not one showing in my album? arghhhh any one know how to upload?

It is sad the excuses people will make for giving up a dog. 5 kids and no time for a dog. These dogs love kids. The kids should have been able to occupy a lab. Oh well their loss your gain. Your photo is there but a little small to get a good look at Charlie. Look forward to more.
