new to the forum

Hi I am new to the forum. I aquired 2 male pups 5-7 months old as far as I can guess. At first they were very siddish. I work in the country I went to work one day and the boss said there was two pups out back and not to feed them so they would go home. I didnt bother to even go look at them. 2 days later they were still there and their is only 6 neighbors and no one came looking for them. So on the fourth day I went to work and they were still there, my girlfgriend and I had talked about keep one if the owners didnt come looking.

Well my boss said if some one didnt come get the pups they were going to go for a "ride" if you know what I mean. They tore up a bunche off his stuff, I played with them for about 30 mins and could tell they had been on their own for weeks maybe months. And one is quite abit bigger than the other and is the dominat one the smaller one is very dependant. I knew if I took one and left the other they wouldnt make it. So I called my gf and said go buy 2 dog bowls and food, she said why 2 bowls I said Im bringing them both home. Needless to say she wasn't very happy.....................at first.

And this is were my adventure startred.

We have had the pleasure of Jesse and Frank for a month now. You could tell they had been around a family at some point. They kinda knew sit, and shake. They weigh around 35-45 pounds already if not more and almost 2 ft tall on all fours, with no potty training at all. That mess lasted a week and a half they sleep in our room with the door shut. After talking to them every night saying they need to tell me they need to go out Jessee woke me up at 430 in the morning. Since the very few accidents if any at all.

These are some of the best dogs I've ever had and I have had dogs all my life. Its amazing how smart and willing to please you they are. I can let them off the lead in my backyard no fence and lots of neighbors and 85% ofg the time they come when called and do a awesome recall but it does need work but very impressive.

Ive always wanted a chocolate lab. And now I have 2 of the best dogs ever. Its strange how things happen sometimes.

They look so happy. It looks like they have come through pretty well. I wonder what there story is. At any rate you have 2 nice boys and they will be great pets. It is sad ...... they only are pups once and for such a short time. Enjoy them.
