Hi everyone!
This is our little treasure - Nina
small nina.JPG
The picture was taken 3 days ago. We think she's about 4 weeks old - by comparing her to videos on youtube of similar sized puppies.
Her story didn't start so well cos apparently she was taken by a teenager from an old man that had puppies for sale at the market, but her parents didn't have space to keep her. We're very happy and thrilled that she came into our life (this cannot be said for the cats sharing our home - but we're confident that they'll soon befriend her).
Welcome to JL. She's a cutie.
We also have two cats who were less than thrilled when we brought Duke home. The male has sort of befriended him, but the female will never become friends because she was a feral kitten when we found her and still doesn't trust most outsiders either. Good luck with Nina. Don't forget to share your photos with us.

Welcome! I sure hope she is older than 4 weeks.
Wow, 4 weeks! Is she eating good on her own? You can expect her to be really mouthy as time goes on. Puppies taken early usually are. Just be patient, and keep at the don't bite command. I am glad you rescued the little girl.... she is so young.

Hi everyone,
My wife took her to the vet yesterday and he says that she's healthy and gave her the first shot of vaccines and another injection against worms.
He said that she's not a pure breed labrador (we had assumed that already) and she's probably more 6 weeks as her baby teeth are already there. Moreover he said that her paws are smaller than what you would normally find in a purebreed so she'll grow up into a petite dog.
At the moment we're feeding her royal canin wet food mixed with royal canin puppy miilk (she doesn't seem to like the milk through the bottle).
I'm more concerned because she's a bit unsteady on her legs - it's as if she hasn't gained full control of her legs yet... though this is improving day by day.
Good quality photos to follow tomorrow!
